GREATER COMPETITIVENESS FOR BETTER COOPERATION WITH THE FOREIGN INVESTORS

A final conference, part of the successfully implemented activities of the EU project: “Increasing the competitiveness of the small and medium-sized domestic enterprises to improve their cooperation with the foreign investors”, was held, emphasizing the activities undertaken during the two-year project.

The primary objective of the project was promotion of the performances of the companies from the metalworking and automotive industry, aimed at ensuring their greater competitiveness, which will further result in better cooperation with the foreign investors, but also result in improved export competences with other foreign companies. The project provided trained personnel to companies and implementation of certain advanced production and managerial approaches, encompassing around 20 Macedonian companies, where six of them implemented industrial projects in the course of the past two years, pointed out Prof. Dr. Robert Minovski, professor at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Skopje and project coordinator.

The Foreign Investors Council is working successfully within the Economic Chamber of Macedonia since 2007, which significantly contributed to the connection process of the foreign with the domestic companies, whereby enabling an expansion of the mutual cooperation…

The President of the Foreign Investors Council within the Economic Chamber of Macedonia, Stefan Peter, added that every foreign investor in this country is working with a domestic company, but mostly in relation to the support activities, which is not enough. He pointed out that they wish for the domestic companies to be more involved in their current activities and to be their suppliers…
