MEETING BEKTESHI- PETER: THE RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE “WHITE BOOK 2018” ARE A GOOD BASIS FOR PROMOTING THE INVESTMENT POTENTIALS OF THE COUNTRY

The President of the Foreign Investors Council within the Economic Chamber of Macedonia, Stefan Peter, MSc., on March 13, 20196 held a working meeting with the Minister of economy in the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia, Kreshnik Bekteshi, MSc., at which it was talked about the current situation in the economy from the point of view of the perception of the foreign investors in the country and the governmental economic policies for growth of the economy in the following period.

On this occasion, Stefan Peter, MSc., introduced the Minister of economy to the recommendations of the last year’s edition of the “White Book 2018” that are mainly focused on improving the business climate and facilitating the business, first and foremost, by creating a foreseeable business environment, more efficient administration, reduced overall administrative procedures and legal burdens and restructured educational system with the objective to create a high quality and skilled workforce in accordance with the needs of the labour market.

Средба Бектеши – Петер: Препораките од „Белата книга 2018“  се добра основа за унапредување на инвестициските потенцијали на земјаваThe Minister Bekteshi greeted the publication of the new edition of the “White Book 2018” stating that 2019 will be the year of the economy that the data about the growth in 2018 undoubtedly show, a year in the course of which foreign direct investments in the amount of 624 million euros are registered in the country and are a confirmation for the steps undertaken for the stabilization of the country both politically and economically, with a tendency of further and even greater growth. The 4.500 new jobs created are considered to be a key benefit of the new investments.

It was jointly established that the European and NATO prospects of the country is the strongest guarantee that the economic development will continue with an accelerated pace. The membership in the EU and NATO will bring Macedonia positive perspectives, especially in the business sector by establishing the European standards and easier access of companies to the EU market.

At the end of the working meeting the readiness of the two sides for the advancement of the cooperation in each field of common interest in the following period was highlighted.

Within the working meeting the President of the Foreign Investors Council gave the Minister of economy, Kreshnik Bekteshi, MSc., a printed edition of the “White Book”.
