COMPANY-MEMBERS OF THE FOREIGN INVESTORS COUNCIL AMONG THE AWARDED AT THE 97th ANNIVERSARY OF THE CHAMBER ORGANIZATION IN MACEDONIA

The Economic Chamber of Macedonia on 18.02.2019, marked a very important date of the business in the Republic of Macedonia- 97 years of unity with the Macedonian business and 1096 days until the 100th jubilee.

The tradition of the Chamber to represent and award the most successful companies and businessmen continued this year as well. The Managing Board of the Economic Chamber of Macedonia adopted a Decision to give awards and other acknowledgments of the Economic Chamber of Macedonia for 2018.

The awards were given by Branko Azeski, president of the Economic Chamber of Macedonia and Kocho Angjushev, PhD, in the capacity of vice-president of the Economic Chamber of Macedonia.

- JOHNSON MATTHEY DOOEL –Skopje- AWARD OF THE ECONOMIC CHAMBER OF MACEDONIA FOR A COMPANY –THE LARGEST NEXT EXPORTER

Pursuant to the data that have been delivered, Johnson Matthey is the biggest exporter of Macedonia the export of which in 2018 reached about 1,78 billion euros, which is 25,8% of the total export of goods and services from Macedonia. With total incomes of 1,48 billion euros in 2017, the British company Johnson Matthey is the biggest in the car parts industry and the biggest company in Macedonia and for several years it has been a leader on the list of largest exporters from the country.
- ARCELORMITTAL AD –Skopje- SPECIAL RECOGNITION OF THE ECONOMIC CHAMBER OF MACEDONIA FOR A COMPANY WITH THE HIGHEST NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS IN EDUCATIONAL EVENTS IN THE ECONOMIC CHAMBER OF MACEDONIA IN 2018:

ArcelorMittal is a leading world steel company with an annual production capacity of about 130 million tons. It works in more than 60 countries and has steel production facilities in more than 20 countries and is a leader in all main steel markets.

ArcelorMittal Skopje is a company the employees of which attended the largest number of educational events in 2018 organized by the Education and Human Resources Development Centre within the Economic Chamber of Macedonia, having 72 participants in 23 educational events.

1. KOSTAL MACEDONIA is one of the leading companies at a global scale for the production of parts for the automotive industry and has 18 thousand employees in 21 countries on four continents. In the production unit in Ohrid, Kostal Macedonia constantly invests in the development of human capital, and the transfer of the international experience the company has is of particular importance. Kostal Macedonia is a company that invests in the dual education model.
2. ODV- ELECTRIC is a German company that works in five countries all over the world and employs over 2400 workers. In the production unit in TIDZ Struga the company produces cables for the automotive industry. ODV shares the international experience in the Macedonian educational field investing in activities that lead to the dual educations system.
3. LTH LEARNICA from Ohrid is a company with a tradition and a well-known company to the Macedonian market, but on this occasion we would like to highlight the commitments and significant investments the company realizes in the field of education. The cooperation with the vocational schools in the region is high on the agenda of the company and the management is also actively involved in the realization of the activities related to the dual education model which brings benefit to the whole Southwest region.
4. DMM DRÄXLMAIER Macedonia was founded in 2012 by DRÄXLMAIER Group. Cable sets (complete electric systems) for the automotive industry tailored upon a specific request of the client are produced in Macedonia. Dräxelmaier implements the dual vocational education model following the German example and with an adjusted curriculum.
